backtracking...

Summer is usually the time we run, run, run from one event to another. It's the best time of the year to do it, right? And it wears you out after a while, but come on -- Who wouldn't want to be on the go with these beautiful faces? My precious family means the world to me... On Friday evening, we hit the northside with friends. This group of guys (Jaime, Chato, and Chico) are a blast to be around, but be careful not to get caught with drink or food in your mouth - they will surely have you laughing so hard that you spit it out.
The girls held their own on our side of the table. Laura, Maria, and I kept our voices down so the guys didn't know exactly what we had to say...and it drove them crazy!
Saturday morning, Chato hit the golf course with a few buddies. George, Jose, Chato and Robert typically start off most of their weekends on the green, bright and early.
By evening, we put together a BBQ and surprised our girl, Tricy, with a birthday cake and presents (a few days before the big day) to catch her off guard! Hee hee! The temps were beautiful and it was a wonderful evening.
Sunday, we made the big decision to head off to Great America (Six Flags). What a day! We could not have chosen a better one! Perfect sunny skies and the park was not too crowded at all. The lines were easy and we rode all kinds of rides.

The bumper cars were our first stop......followed by (my favorite) the Condor.
The balloons took us up over the park for a great view.
The swings were awesome.
The kids played a few games and won these cool capes. I love the shadows they left behind!! Face painting was for fun. This little fairy loved her eye makeup.
Pretty cool transformation, huh?
Too bad the water rides didn't act well with the effect!
oh, it's the memory that matters in the end, right? A thousand and one pictures tell the story of a wonderful day well spent with this beautiful family...once again! Thanks be to God!
