a little further back in time...

Step back to 1993. Every highschooler's concern: Prom. My choice was no last minute decision. Chato and I knew long before prom time that we would dress up for this event. Barely 18, kooky curly hair and warped sense of fashion - I was so proud to head out the door with my tuxedoed man.

I loved our views on the world back then, and the funny thing is even though we have learned so much more since - most of our values are the same. We knew that we wanted to continue our educations, to marry, have kids, and all the rest. We've had our priorities straight for years. I am so fortunate to have such comfort in everyday life. It is because of this that I can't wait to celebrate this one landmark (that we share together) on Saturday.

I only question the same thing I did way back then - What still lies ahead for us? We know there will be plenty of curves in the road, and we know we can take them as long as we walk together. Nothing in the world means more.

omigosh, you are SO different in this pic - you don't look like you at all! love the history, though... very cool.

Adorable! I went to my prom the same year as you! (I didn't marry my date though) I love the fact that you two are celebrating your ten years of marriage and sharing these pictures.
