gooey icing and gingerbread squares

We've never really thought about attempting this in the past. Maybe because I never came across the right recipe. Maybe because I thought it would be too messy. Maybe because I had never made one myself! But this year, it was to cool to pass up in its little packaged kit sitting on the shelf at Target with a $10 price tag attached and everything pre-made and ready to go! It wasn't a bad process at all! Once my hands got everything standing upright in its base, the decorating was easy and fun...





Aly and Brandan loved every minute of it.
Gingerbread, anyone?

We have done this every year for 6 years. Isn't it fun? I love how they change each year.
