WOW. What a bunch of days these past few have been! There is so much to share that has been happening over here...kiddie spring break pictures, Chato's 10K race, Aly's big 8 celebration, my OUTSTANDING friend's surprise party for her promotion...so we will make it a string of events - keep coming back for more; eventually I will pass out!
I MUST start with the most important birthday pictures. Miss Aly celebrated EIGHT in the most unconventional, but elegant ways. With the Wrigley Race bright and early in the morning, we substituted breakfast for some Dunkin Donuts Munchkins to tide us over. It was after the race was over that we hit our favorite restaurant for Belgium waffles and bacon. They surprised Aly with some candles and extra whipped cream on her waffle! She blew those candle out so fast, my little p&s camera hardly had time to focus and catch it...
It made her day.
Much later in the evening (after a good power nap for everyone except the over excited Aly) we dressed up and hit the city. I love THEATER ROW...

Mary Poppins is currently playing at the Cadillac Palace on Randolph. The bright lights were perfect for this warm weather day.
The musical began just after 8pm, and had a fifteen minute intermission. Somewhere there after, the little girl who refused to nap started to yawn. You can see it in her eyes...
By the time "Let's go Fly a Kite" hit the stage she was on my shoulder, unable to hold her head up. As the play wrapped up around 11pm, there was a HUGE technical dificulty and Mary Poppins was supposed to "fly" with her umbrella over the crowd. Something went wrong and she never made it off her hoist. The crew had to turn the lights on and get her down. She was fine and the curtain call ended well. Aly never knew that the "practically perfect" star had an unfortunate mishap and slept right through the entire event. It was practically perfect.

What a wonderful way to celebrate her birthday! I just love that last picture, she looks so sweet.
LOVE how dressed up and cute they are in the pic in front of the theater! I think that was such a cool thing she wanted for her birthday, too bad about the flying mishap...but at least Aly wasn't aware:)
