With all of the packing of odds and ends, I was bound to come across plenty of things I hadn't laid eyes for awhile. I pulled down my old cork boards that I've stuck countless ribbons to and numerous snaps that make me smile. Buried beneath the clippings, font samples, and odd stickers, I found this picture...
Brandan was nearly 2 and a half and Aly about 6 months old at the time I caught him trying to wake her from a cat nap. Even up to this day, he's usually the first one up, sneaking into her room to pull her out of bed; a playmate he would never be able to do without.
Good times, good times.
The future, on the other hand, is starting to take shape. We've gotten so much done, so much faster than we thought we would, that we are thinking about moving our painting dates up. We laid eyes on a table set that we would like to get for the far end of our family room. The top is a great match for our "native american" themed kokopelli accents. The area rug is also on my list...as these are the colors we are going with for the room. The walls are shades of brown, while the accents will reflect soft teals. Leading down into basement (ie scrap heaven) the walls will continue the teal sentiment with a cool canyon brown stone tile.
