...melts my heart. It's that time of year. The season of wheels: bikes, trikes, blades and scooters. The faster you move the better, for these kids. Well, last night the "paletero" or ice cream man rode by on his funny bicycle contraption ringing his bell. I could have swore it was only a swift breeze that blew by me, but it was Aly running into the house to grab her little money wallet, while Brandan was left with the task of summoning the paletero to STOP!
By the time I made it to the front door, both kids were kneeling over to make their selections. My Dad sat on the front porch watching, too. Upon their return, I noticed that they only had ONE Ninja Turtle, sherbert flavored popcicle. My Dad said, "I would have bought you another one if you needed money." The next thing my ears heard was, "No, thanks. We are going to share."
So, by the time this posts, we will be heading South for the weekend. Our Kentucky roads will guide us to our annual family reunion for Memorial Day weekend. I'm sure I'll have plenty of cheesy, rosy faces to share sometime next Tuesday or there after.
