time well spent

Our Memorial Day weekend is always well spent with family when we unite for the holiday. I think my grandparents would be proud to see so many of us together in one place, their hometown, in Kentucky. This year we were honored to have all six sisters together. (Can you tell which one is my Mom?) With only one sibling missing -Uncle Russell is recovering from quadruple bypass surgey in Louisville, we almost had all the surviving kids together. Each year I wish for more of us to come together. Cousins, can you hear me? I worry that time is short and I dream of having everyone in the same room at the same time. My grandparents' church sits a few miles down the road from the old homeplace, and we celebrate here each year with country ham, canned vegetables, and plenty of sweets. Yum.
I am proud of my little family...

and so glad that we belong to such a wonderful, HUGE family such as this...

Now, If I could only get us all to look at the camera at the same time!! (I need to organize these guys better! By the time I get one to stand still another one wiggles!)
