books for SALE!

Anticipation couldn't have been worse. We have waited for nearly a year for this day to arrive. On Saturday, July 5th, Mom's genealogy books were available to the public. Our annual extended family reunion was held and many people came out to see and purchase the book. I took it a step further by wearing a "Hug a Tree" tee (there's a tree on the front of Mom's genealogy book). Okay, it wasn't intended to mean that, but you get the idea! I played the role of seller, receipt giver, and money collector. Mom reluctantly signed each copy she sold.
The day was unending and well spent. It was a blast to watch everyone flip through the pages and note their branch on the tree. Even the little ones were so content in seeing their name alongside that of their ancestors. Pretty cool event for this history nut.
