weekend worth of scrap

I have been reliving our adventures, one by one, and how we traveled about seeing new things and enjoying new people. Maybe that explains why I have completed nearly 18 pages and I am only through HALF of day three! This is one album I don't want to leave anything out of!!
We spent this day at the Polynesian Cultural Center on the north end of Oahu. There were so many opportunities to capture stunning colors of the most tropical kind! Our journey through the various polynesian villages assisted us in learning about Hawaii, New Zealand, Tahiti, Samoa, Fiji, and Tonga. Teo-tafiti was the "head" Samoan, who crossed our path various times during our visit. Here he recognized Brandan from a previous encounter and called him to stage to enjoy coconut juice. Brandan loved the experience, but might recall it for another reason some where down the line...his enjoyment resulted in a tummy ache (and multiple trips to the bathroom!) I love the sequence of events here! The sad note is that Chato's video shutdown and locked up just as Brandan was called up! I would have loved to have seen this again and again! This was our first encounter: unknown to us, this Samoan weaver summoned Aly and Brandan over. Within moments he had woven palm leaf crowns for both of them. Skilled beyond belief, we loved his talent and his welcoming smile. When we happened by a Samoan show, we were greeted by his friendly face. (Hence Brandan made his way to the stage.) Later, after our luau, Teo-tafiti was the main event for the Samoan flame throwing part of our Horizons show.
Like I said, the colors of the day were glorious...

...and you have to love hawaiian wear.
There are a ton of things of this day that are yet to come.

Each one will be more colorful than the next, I bet...
