...are long and tumultuous. The long winter days are most likely the culprit. Cloudy skies with cold winds wrap themselves around us forcing us to awake before the sun comes up and depart from work after the sun has already set. I think I have become quite familiar with my new friend the moon, as I see him more often the his warmer counterpart.
This odd week has gifted us with a Thursday off in the middle of the week, (Thank you, Mr. Lincoln!) so we made a stop after work to get a burger and fries, knowing that there might be the chance that an alarm wouldn't wake us up come early the next morning. When it comes right down to it, I need to say how thankful I am that I work with such great people. I never could have imagined being surrounded by people who truly look out for one another and step up whenever they are called upon. It's true - I work in a community of outstanding educators - and these people mean the world to me; I could have never dreamed just how much I would learn from these fine people. And that is a point to take note of...once you become a teacher YOU never stop learning. And with that said, here are just a few of my favorite "Life, long learners"...
Now, some of us can place credits alongside these lovely ladies names, and others will be rewarded unending for the role they play in daily events that I am witness to. I am just proud to say I know them. I am grateful for the lessons I have learned from them...

How nice to be able to say those kind words about your friends at work! I would cherish them also. Looks like you had a great evening!
