Off to the rink on one heckuva rainy weekend...We piled the kids (as many as we could fit) into the Suburban and headed over to join the masses, who were spinning in circles to the waves of disco lights and heart-pounding music.Brandan LOVES to skate and Aly, generally, falls right in behind him. Neither of these two are too scared to fall either, but for the most part they hold their own in an upright position!
They made their rounds coaching and begging their friends to fall into line with them - some took it on while others traded their skates back for their shoes.
This was a hard game to catch all these little guys in just a couple of shots...I tried my best and this group shot was the best I could snap before they all went separate ways!
You may not know this but...I think it is pretty cool that OUR rink was used in the filming of "Roll Bounce" with Lil Bow Wow a few years ago.I remember the passion of skating - I used to enjoy my old-fashioned four wheeled, red, white, and blue version pair from the early eighties! When I see Brandan's face as he flies by I can see his love for the speed and flashes of people going by. Oh, to be ten again.
Brandan's heart was content. Skating was a perfect birthday afternoon choice for this guy!

Great pics Candi! Love that bottom one! I have broken both of my arms and both times were from skating!!! I was not as talented as your kiddos are skating, lol! Glad Brandan had a great birthday party!
oh i miss those old days spent at the skating rink, sadly my city turned our local rink into a more hip skate park. (skateboarding)
