The kids took their Tae Kwon Do belts tests on Saturday. 
Lots of forms, breaking and sparring to account for.
I could only dream of being as flexible these days, but sure am proud of what they can do!

Afterwards, we headed out to celebrate our favorite 7 year old buddy Alex's birthday. The carnival themed party showcased a familiar face. This magician visited our house for a combined B+A birthday party when Brandan was turning five and Aly barely three!!
He didn't miss a thrill. The kids cracked up at his humor and even added a bit of their own.
Tricks, juggling, and turning plates on sticks were just a few of the entertaining stints we witnessed.
In the end, there was a roaring applause...
...and Alex could truly say that he enjoyed his day...
...complete with friends, family, cake, and gifts (cool Cubs ones for this big fan, to boot!)
