We missed a chunk of summer somewhere and have been trying to make up for it this past week. We have hosted three impromptu BBQ's since September's arrival. Early afternoon and late night gatherings, we have enjoyed good food, good friends, and good family. Here is just a mix of some of the good time, laid back, relaxing we have spent...
The one thing I enjoy most is the fact that I am NOT the one doing the cooking. This is one MACHO domain that can stay that way... and all of a sudden Brandan has taken great interest in the grilling and food prep.

The cool evenings were great for jokes and storytelling...
The early afternoons had the kids searching for plenty of shade - somehow they ended up eating in the back of the truck: goofballs!
Some of us have demonstrated that we are sloppy eaters...
...but every minute was a blast. Playing games...
...telling jokes...
...and some cheesy smiles.
In my words alone...in the end it's a bunch o' fun to have a bunch o' BBQ when it's with the people you love.

I think it's adorable that they piled in the back for a shade and that is just a great picture! Looks like lots of fun...was that guamole (sp?) on Chato's shoe? LOL!
