mix & match endeavors

Remember back in late spring when I purchased that funny looking Desert Rose plant? I thought he looked like a cool little man sitting there waiting to be taken care of...
...well he has been blooming! I ADORE flowers, but I'm not known to particularly have a green thumb, so I wasn't expecting him to do somersaults or anything...but with a bit of help from my Mom, who kept him watered while we were away he has the most prettiest flowers to share!

And summertime makes just about everyone "blooming" happy...
The kids have been swimming like crazy. Hitting the pool nearly every day in the late afternoons. This is when I get about an HOUR to sneak away and work on the stack of pictures I have on my scrap table...
Somewhere in between sun and water, Brandan remembered the previous year's successes of "the kool-aid stand". The kids decided to open shop again. Late Sunday evening, while Crisitian and Alex were over, they all bonded together for an impromptu set up. Within an hour (on a weekend afternoon) they made $32 and sold off 2 1/2 gallons of cool drink. So, with a bit more prep, a new poster board and a supple of cups...
...back in business!

It was HOT yesterday. Lesson for Mommy, who observes while sitting in a lawnchair, GET an UMBRELLA and SUN TAN LOTION!

Those Kool-aid stand photos are going to make a great layout. Your photography is very nice. $32? Wow!
