Attempting to work our way back into a regular routine, we figured that we should fit the kids into the pool schedule at the park. It just so happened that lessons are FREE and OPEN when ever you feel like attending! That's a great plus - when things always come up around this time of year - and you don't want to miss out on something you had to pay for! Woo HOO! So HOLD your breath and get ready for some chlorine-laced water...
...and swimming has convinced us of one thing...

One of the most challenging things for the kids has always been the FEAR of learning to float. These days, these kids DON'T FEAR much (which scares me), but I would love to see them learn to let go a bit more in the water, and feel the freedom of how the water can support them if they just lose the nerves.

SO, while all that was going on...
I kept a journal for each day we were there and collected this & that (including receipts and a running list of expenses - Yes, Mom I TAKE after you!) I have gotten all of the odds-n-ends stitched in so far, but I want to go back and add some miniature contact sheet pictures to each day. I know that I will make an album of this trip too --- but I just can't decide what SIZE album I want to use. Should I stick to my 12x12 typical album, or should I focus on an 8.5x11 for this trip? Hmmmmm....?!

Saturday evening we hit the St. Sym's Carnival.

Aly had the chance to win a prize throwing darts...

I, on the other hand, am still waiting for a battery charger and NOT liking the wait time on my P&S camera. My Nikon actually has it's back turned to me right now; he's giving me a cold shoulder until I give him what he needs....

You are inspiring me to get my butt in gear and get back to my scrapbooks! It's sad how much I have to do!!
I LOVE that top pic of Aly in the pool. A so didn't like the floating part either...after being in the pool days and days in a row, she is finally doing it without being so scared. I am loving all your fun summer activities you are squeezing in!
