fast times go

There is no slowing down the clock, it seems. Our friends (especially the little ones) just keep growing up right before out eyes. Abigail is no exception. We attempted to enjoy an afternoon in the backyard with BBQ and cool drinks on Saturday. Before we knew it afternoon slipped into early evening and our day together had once again drifted away. Oh how fast times go.

Some of our friends have matured much more rapidly that we could have even imagined! Sweet Max, it is time to shave, little man!

With the humidity still pretty thick, we threw the kids into the pool. A year ago I could have told you about these two kids who made sure to enjoy the water on the shallow side. But now, I watch my fishies climb in and out by making gargantuan jumps in to the deep end, paddling and swimming their way back to "shore". Oh how fast times go.

The splash pool water was a bit chilly, and I wish I had my FLIP to record poor little Zoe's lips as they chattered.

The evening sun gave way to setting and it was time to pack up the sillies, dry them off and take them home. Oh how fast times go.

We loved having friendship day spent with a few of our favorite friends.
BUT, OH, HOW FAST TIMES GO!
