Next project up - making a drawstring gift bag! Cute, but troublesome little sucker...
Easy peasy to put two materials together; not so much fun trying to set a strong slit for the drawstring. I'm wondering now in retrospect if this process couldn't be made easier with a button hole sewn in place (but that would be something new to learn; not even sure my machine has that capability yet.) Well, anyway -- I am a very messy handstitcher. Not something I care to do too much of. And so far...so good! I am caught up with the projects because the next assignment hasn't posted yet! ;)

I had the grand fortune of my boy child taking a nap yesterday. What a tone that sets for this house! So, the scrapping fairies were on my side and I pulled out some more August Studio Calico kit...

I JUST finished my bag earlier...wow I meesed up many many times, the seam ripper was my best friend:) But it did come out cute, and Aislynn has made the claims:)
