sew ready...

Today officially marks the start of my class over at Home Ec. But, as an incentive project to get an early start, I got to make this cute little pin cushion to be my companion in all of my future endeavors...
If the colors here look familiar, it is probably because you remember THIS. I cannot believe that I did that project exactly one year ago TODAY! So anyway, I used scraps, and still have a bit left over, too, so you just might be seeing them again (and again) until I get the hang of each project.
I've got to make a run to Joann's with my 50% off coupon and see what I can acquire.
If I get reasonably decent at this I am going to have to get Aunt Earline to help me start quilting. Right? You send me a supply list and I'll be ready for your next trip to Chicago! ;)

you put some sand in that pin cussion right? it keeps the rust off and the pins sharp. :) its very cute and i don;t know of any pin cussions that are made of anything but scraps. :)

I love it! So cute!! Mine came out cute (if you don't look at the edge with the hand-stitching, ha ha!). Thinking I want to use this technique for some pillows, I like the strips-look.
