sneak scrap

In an effort to get going on my albums for both Mexico's June/July trip and August's St.Louis/Route 66 weekend getaway I have been sneaking in some R&R in the scrap room. I've never really been one to COUNT the pieces of leftover scraps I have laying around (and refuse to make waste of), but I have seriously got to make a dent in some of it. I'm thinking of holding a color sorting party. (Yeah, I know I'm an idiot to those of you who do not grasp the obsession of this hobby, but I am trying to be more organized about it anyway.)

My most recent endeavors include...
...and where as it seems that I've gone to strictly speaking Spanish, in a way I have. It is my wish to improve upon my writing of my second language, and maintain the language in my Mexico album to promote it most specifically for B + A to become more proficient in their reading, too. The first two layouts above will go into the current album, while the second two are from 2009 - a couple of important pictures that I had been putting off for some reason.

Some more 2009 (I swear I so CANNOT close out this album and it is bulging at the seams) is below from a our May family reunion in KY. When it became time for the POSERS to take their place - all it took was a few silly remarks to crack me up, and it went down hill from there...
There is a forecast of rain predicted for Chicagoland this weekend, which kind of warms my heart and makes me crave a blanket and a good movie. We do have plans to carve our pumpkins and make something good to eat (sweets are a must, no?) but no defining events are booked...and for that I am thankful!
