belated haunting...

...for reasons of complete insanity. Our Halloween was wonderful. The weather was just about right. Perfect sunny skies, but only in the 50s - a few degrees warmer would have been awesome. My fair little bumblebee and gory looking "Bully - who thought he was cool, but GOT beat up" character...were anxious trick or treaters.
------------------------
Between the spray painted hair 'do's and layers of hidden clothing - it wasn't too hard to prepare for it all. So two twisted upright antennas...
...and this poor kid, who created this crazy idea because he just had to have those cool new nylon tattoo sleeves (which he didn't wear because of the weather) and so desperately wanted to use blood capsules, too! Thus THE BULLY costume. What an actor....
We met up with TONS of friends...during our travels...
...and collected packets of sugar like they were going out of style.
----------
The adults got in on the act, but who they were wasn't quite clear.
I dressed up, too...but did anyone notice me BEHIND the camera? :( I SO forgot to take my own picture....with my pretty cute LONG deceiving eyelashes and devilish horns.
It was a blast, though...and no one EVER claimed to be tired. We must have trekked past two dozen blocks, up and down each street! Even as the sun began to go down, B + A both still had smiles on their faces after nearly three hours later.
Oh! Did I mention that Brandan did ALL of his own make up? I only assisted with smoothing out the lines in his "black eye", but the blood and scars were all his own work with a bit of latex, toilet paper and ooey gooey blood.
Wore out, but content...and piles of candy to sort...
...all that remains alongside sweet, sweet Halloween memories.
