Guaranteed

I know I can't stop time.
But, I also can't keep up with it either.
--------------------
Another 2011 week just flew by us.
We last left off with a weekend full of fun pictures, but I forgot to include these...
Brandan's team met up with his cousin Andy's to play some ball. These two are about six weeks apart in age, but it's obvious that Andy has beaten Brandan in height even though my kid is the elder in this shot! Because it was a family versus family game (and on a SATURDAY!) the boys got to see TONS of family come out. We packed an entire bleacher full of peeps...
The court is blocked off and I couldn't stand back enough to get a shot of the cheering section, but Brandan loved that Momma, Papa, Tammy, Samuel, Taylor, his uncles (Marco and Eddie), his aunt (Lissette) and Pa were there to support him...
...even though it was a losing event. Poor kids. One day a week practices isn't enough for this team with plenty of heart. You can see the disappointment/seriousness all over B's face as the coach talk them through the post game speech.
We have a week off this week, and will see the boys back in action next Saturday.
-------------------------
And that leaves us a week later. It was a pretty typical one, with long school days and quick evening dinners. Unless you count Thursday evening where I knocked out while grading papers around 7pm. I wanna keep up. But I just can't. This led Aly to leave me a note on the bathroom sink...
...to remind me to lay out my old Bears tee for her to wear to school for Friday Spirit day. She is the note writer in the house. She loves to stick notes where people will find them. I think she gets this from Chato, except most of the time he writes his for himself - to remind him of things to do.
--------------
Maybe this is my note writing.
I can guarantee that I will be back time and time again, no matter what the duration, to write. I am looking forward to this three day weekend to watch the kids play in the snow (and there is supposed to be more coming). We have a nice leisurely laid out Saturday ahead of us (minus the typical laundry) and we will take it from there.
