sweet wishes

For the first time ever, our little girl went out dancing......with her Daddy. Aly's first Father-Daughter Dance was held at her school last Friday, February 18th. The theme was Hawaiian and big flowers were all the rage. I was waiting on posting these because formal pictures were coming from the event. Sweet pea, went off and left them in her desk at school. :PBy Sunday, the sky clouded up, the temperatures hit a whopping 40+ degrees, and it rained buckets, finally wiping out any of the residual snow mounds from our big fall at the beginning of the month. Aly and I took a side trip downtown anyway. We met up with Nichole (& family) to see the Vivian Maier photography exhibit. We were hoping to spend lots of time mulling over her work, but instead were disappointed to find under 60-70 framed pieces. With no photography allowed in the gallery, we hopped off back to the train. One pit stop later, we carried home treats for everyone...MmmMmm...what to pick?
Sugar Bliss is the cutest Cupcake bakery in the loop off of Wabash & Randolph.

Everyone found a favorite (or two or three) in this box. The strawberry dream was divine......as was the chocolate peanut butter. I personally, fell in love with the lemon coconutIt would be so nice to say that I can sit here and tell stories abound. (What a sweet dream that would be!) But this week was carried away by many chores and errands. There was not one single event I could label, but it sure did fly. And as much as we are wishing for warmer weather, I am also dreaming of time that stands still, too. I could surely use a day for chores, another for field trips, one for editing and designing, and just one more for putting it all down in writing. Okay maybe two or three on that last one. I love to write.

I have also gotten severely behind in my Joy of Love photography challenge. I haven't thrown in the towel just yet. Even though February is already wrapping itself up in 24 hours, it is my wish to tackle the challenges I missed. Oh for an extra day...
