sweet spring beginnings....

With a little help from Paula Deen, my Aunt Earline, and some extra chocolate chips...
...I made THIS! It was a very simple recipe, but when Brandan and I first came across it, we were stopped in our tracks. I didn't own cute, little ramekins needed for this sweet treat. :(

That's where Aunt Earline got wind of it. She sent a surprise package that landed on our doorstep last Thursday evening, while we were in Springfield! Six, perfectly white, practical ramekins were inside -- ready and waiting for the Chocolate Custard with homemade Butterscotch Whipped Cream that we had be dying to make!!

Thank YOU, Aunt Earline!!
It was utterly rich and very chocolate-ly!!

Earlier in the day, Chato and Aly tried to ring in the new found Spring season with a bucket of balls at the driving range...
...and I'm wondering if you noticed...
...above (when Brandan was enjoying his custard) that there was something wrong with his eyebrow? Well, let me tell you...that old wives' tale about using peanut butter to remove sticky gum...well, it works.
-----------------
A few pictures from Marco's graduation party...
...the kids were extra proud to represent their uncle's new occupation!
---------------
Aly added to the decorations by creating a huge paper chain, all on her own...
..and the evening was tremendous...
....with too many heads to count, but definitely in the triple digits!

Very cool. My kids would love that dessert. Maybe I can make vanilla pudding with butterscotch whipped cream?

So...what's the significance of 6228??

yummmm, my Mom got me some rammekins (sp?) for my birthday, maybe I should try this?!

The kids look so cute at the party, I love their shirts and that A added her own decorations!
