Gearing up...

...over at the Pier Expo there was all kinds of athletic peeps running around sipping on healthy yogurt drinks and fueling up on energy packed granola. Love that this is Chato's ninth year to participate. We are awaiting the final weather outcome, but we've been through it all. Pretty sure we won't battle snow or sleet this time, since they are predicting high temps, but t-storms could be the one that let into us in the morning. I'd rather not have to wear a poncho, please. And besides, my camera doesn't want to live in a ziplock baggie, either.

The kids have hit that age where they love the gadgets and fanfare of the expo, too...

...in fact Brandan signed up for his first 5k. Two weeks from now he will run with Chato in the Wrigley Early Start race. We used to hit this one every year when it was back in Lincoln Park. We missed it, somehow, last year and it moved to Grant park. I <3 the museum campus venue, and I am praying for a beautiful day.

Too fast, I tell ya.
