..and even though this picture was snapped this morning, I just had to tweak it, rough it up, and age it a bit. It's the vintage in me; the part that loves the antique world of design - all shabby chic to match our shades.
So, right now?
We dropped a load of $ on two pairs of new frames for the kids. The cost of gas is weighing on our pocketbooks, too - we travel in city traffic every single day - and thanks to Chicago's nationwide EXTRA high prices, we are broke when we fill up the tank. By the time we add in the groceries rising costs ($3.99 for a watermelon-huh?) Are you getting it? See, this why my mind is drifting back in time...
I am working on an experimental project for my family's May reunion. That has time travel stamped all over it. The hazy, aged sepia photos are so much fun to sift through - I could never grow tired of them. I have my fingers crossed I am able to make it work, it would be so much fun if it turns out the way I imagine it to!
I'm seeing April slip away today. Can't believe that it is already time for MAY. And once again, I regress into yesteryear with impending age headed my way. This time, I refuse to let it go by without structuring it a bit more. Always trying to "organize" and UNDERSTAND things, I going to follow a KP model this year - so, in about ten days or so look for a thirty-six list - gasp, did i just say 36?
Ah, time. Never found a way to pause it, so I've got to learn to embrace it. Be still my vintage heart, I won't let it go without recording it, first.
