2011 WITL: day five (+ a new TO DO LIST)

Mundane life after a HUGE holiday results in less active pictures.

Case in point.
We got Brandan out the door for school, and Aly & I awaited Momma and Papa's arrival from their trip away (TN/KY). This was a BIG deal because they would be moving in with us today. With house construction splattered across the new and old sections of the home - livable space is no longer an option. We are glad to have them for the summer and look forward to the completion of this crazy long project!

So, let's see where we were this time a week ago:

WEEK #2: June 28-July 5th

• Finish Aly's chair. CHECK!

• Scrap 10 pages. ALMOST --I think I fit in 9 if I count the cover of the WITL album!

• Make these festive pretzels. We intended too, but also came across these festive strawberries and made them first. So, when we started to make the pretzels we realized we had used all of the white chocolate on the strawberries and there went THAT idea.
  

• Make this wreath. CHECK! (See yesterday's Make and take idea!)
  

• Trash vertical blinds and hem new curtains for Aly's room.

The vertical blinds are TRASHED. Still need to hem the curtains. Might do that this evening.

• Take 3+ bike rides. CHECK! Sure did. I miscalculated the mileage (per Chato) to Midway. We are approximately 3/4 of a mile from the airport. The distance around the airport is 4 miles. Therefore, that puts me in at 5.5 miles each bike trip and I got in three evening rides this past week (holiday interferred a bit) totaling me at 16.5 miles! Woo hoo!
  

• GO TO the BEACH. NOPE. We decided that the heat + the holiday didn't make this a good idea. Chato has some vacation days coming up that we might use, instead of trying a weekend trip.

• Hit up a Farmer's Market for some fresh goodies. Didn't do this either. Time got away with us and Aly & I didn't go early one morning like we had planned.
  

• Start WITL on July 1st. CHECK!! Keeping in mind that this is earlier than Ali Edwards' WITL, I wanted to highlight the holiday and the things that are going on right NOW. We are two whole days away from completing it. Our journaling has suffered a bit with the post holiday fun, but we have collected lots of goodies and I can't wait to get it put together.

• Start Aly's sundress
• Get some more layouts finished (just got a new shipment of pictures!)
• Log in some more bike miles
• START on my Blurb BLOG book!!
