Here we GO (again) being crazy and documenting the insane part of life: the EVERYDAY.
Last year for my birthday, I begged and pleaded with my kids (Chato didn't mind - he knows me) to help me carry out Ali Edward's "Week in the Life" project. And they did. And they secretly enjoyed it. We had a SPRING version of the album last year (See HERE) and it was one way of looking at how school and work schedules flowed for us.
This year, I am looking forward to doing it in the SUMMER and highlight the way things are so different for us during this season. The timing with the holiday made patriotic themed paper very summer appropriate. But, the teacher in me had to set up and layout the necessary paperwork...

...for journaling, of course!
SO, today we will begin WITL: day one

Our old closet doors in the basement have seen their better days. The kids have put stickers on them and they have fell off track splitting their seams, but we figured we could repair them and sand them down and give them one more chance at a happy existence.
Tah-dah...! Granted they were still wet from a third coat of chalkboard paint, but they look really great. I love the CONTRAST. The paint needs to set over a day or two before you can use it, and we need to get our hands on some pretty colored chalk...but in a few days I should have an updated picture!
Brandan has been in my scraproom lately.
