...to go along...

A sweet friend recently recommended that summertime is NOT the time for to do lists. I had to take a deep breath, and whole-heartedly agree with her. And for as much as I agree with her, I also think that my brain is wired in such a way that I need to organize all the FUN things I just MUST fit in. Summertime flies by so fast, you see.

So, in an effort to abide by the no list rule, I am going to fall off the "Tuesday TO DO list" wagon, but make mental notes and check marks where necessary!! :) Between you and me, YOU will know how happy I am each time I post the FUN things here on my blog!!

Speaking of FUN things... I set my alarm clock for sometime before 4am yesterday morning. With an idea in my head (check!) and friends to support me, Aly and I hopped on the Orange line and set out for the Bean in hopes to catch the sun rise up on it's reflective surface...

...but the sky and it's clouds had other plans, as the fog settled in and hid the sun from us! Nichole, Margie, and Lupita were perfect camera mates - and we took advantage of the not a soul around atmosphere anyway.

We hiked down Michigan avenue only to be greeted by Marilyn's wind blown skirt...

...this time taking advantage of our crowdless city (It was probably 6am or so at this point!)

While we dodged hazy skies at first, we were not deterred in our efforts to have fun.

We really lucked out with good humor. Four crazy camera-wielding mommas and their drag along chicks did accomplish some distance without much of a whine or whimper!

With a sweet treat from Sugar Bliss, we wrapped up our morning - we were going on seven hours or so at this POINT - and headed home with ideas of another photowalk day to come.

So, thankful to this little girl who tagged along with me on this adventure...
