Tuesday: To do list #4

ya know...I can feel time starting to get away from me. The first couple of weeks I could say I felt accomplished; checking things off and sitting back in satisfaction. I can still say I am getting things done, and I am satisfied with their completion...but I am feeling time is running out ALREADY!!

So let's take a look at last week's list...
July 13-19
  • Submit digital copy of WITL to be printed over at my favorite LARGE print site.
NOPE. Our desktop is going through a major hissy fit. We are reformatting it and it is taking forever to get it back online and usable. ALL WITL stuff is completed on that computer. (This is mainly because I favor my old version of Photoshop that is on CD and the laptop doesn't have a CD drive!!) ugh.
  • Make a mini (handmade) album of MOA
I am! I am half way through it. When I am finished I will upload it.
  • Aly's sundress
OMG! Okay. This is finally DONE...after much strife and re-do's between my Mom and I, Aly has a simple (yeah, right) sweet sundress made out of her own chosen material!...I will always sew cute little home decor items, but I may think twice about attempting wearable clothing for me or my family members ever again!!I just pray this little stinker who haphazardly let me snap her picture wears this sundress out, and passes it on to her own daughter some day. It was that much of a pain - people better get some use out of it!!

Okay, back to the list...
Check. Last Friday, we hit Taylor Street and yum, yum, yum! Brandan and my Dad snuck into the Italian Sports Hall of Fame Museum, too. We did walk all the way down Taylor Street - what a HUGE difference since we used to go to school at UIC. There used to be a point (around Racine) that you did not cross due to the projects that were falling apart. The Muhammad Ali homes are no longer present, with the exception of one lone structure. It gives it such a different vista.
Half of a Check. We did head down to Michigan Avenue. We did get this close to the newest art piece in Chicago. But being the FIRST day it was officially open to the public there was NO getting closer. May have to attempt this again soon. Another day.
  • log more bike miles
Check. Even last night's heat didn't keep me away. Another 5.5miles around the airport and I am getting eager to try twice around (I'll wait until the heat wave passes, though!)
  • scrap more pages
No. I will try to get back to this. Soon. I am dying to.
  • Choose fabric for Aly's quilt (last step in completing her bedroom)
Nope. Gotta head to JoAnn's with that 50% coupon I have in my back pocket.
  • Find a new/good crock pot recipe or two
This afternoon this is on my list. Anyone know any good sites that they prefer?

And I suppose I need another to do list:
Week of July 20-26

  • Antique picture frame for Mom
  • Get BLURB up and running for blog book
  • WITL pages to printer
  • Completed MOA mini book
  • Update Parents' house construction (They have been living with us for two weeks already!)
  • Go on a date with my husband
  • Find some BFF time
With the heat here in Chicago, I can handle these air-conditioned projects!

I think it sounds like you've accomplished quite a bit. Don't be discouraged! Plenty time left to do it, right?

You did a lot! I LOVE Aly's dress, so cute. And that scrunched-up smile, freckly close-up? LOVE....you seriously need to blow that up big and hang it up somewhere in your house:)

Shel has a good crock-pot site linked on her blog, 365 days of slow-cooking or something like that?
