solaced scrap

The distinct pleasure was mine when Amy sent word that a scrap day was needed. She came over yesterday and pulled me out of my "back to school funk" and allowed me to gather steam once again. Oh, dear girl...i thank you for the nudge! While Amy was here I pulled of a variety of different scrappy realms......including a brand new cover for a newly began 2011 album.
(Some days before the school rush hit, but I never got the chance to upload/post, I also made a cover for the recently/almost completed 2010!)I got in a 12x12 layout of the beautiful day we spent in Michigan at the Dunes back in August...

...all using my September Studio Calico kit!

I've been secretly working on this, too. Just before summer came to an end, I wrapped my hands around all of my Instagram 4x4 pics that I got developed from the Postal pic App on my iPhone. For some reason I decided to pull out some 6x12 page protectors and construct my own album...

...and all of the Lime Twist papers were so divine; I am so glad I got this add-on during August from Studio Calico!

So, I put together lots of crazy pages (some doubles stretching as long as 24x6!) using all of those cute 4x4 vintage pics...

Since scanning the length of these pages would have been like putting a jigsaw puzzle together, I did what any iphone addict would do: I took snaps of the pages and edited them with a Photoshop app, of course! The album looks much better in person though. I am loving it's size!

Back in the REAL world, our weekends fly right by us. We did stop in over at Momma & Papa's to see the BRAND new SIGN that they were awarded! Woo Hoo!

It is starting to look like home again over there. Most boxes are unpacked. New furniture was delivered. We are awaiting some family visits just for the occasion, too. Hmmmm...I'm thinking maybe we need a house warming party. Any excuse for FUN, of course!
