Each May, when we head "down home" to Kentucky, Claudia always tells us we need more time to spend there. The Memorial day weekend is never quite enough. This weekend, Claudia and Dean made the trip NORTH with the exact same amount of time we make to Columbia each year -- two nights and barely one whole day smacked in the middle. Now I get it. I wanted more time with them.

We made the best of it, followed the suggestions of all involved and headed out to play some mini golf in the gorgeous summer-like weather we are having here in Chicago this fine October.

The sun sure beat into us, as we rounded out 36 (yes, thirty-six) holes.-------------------
We took advice from the masters, putt putted our way around, and...
...and a few of the lucky ones scored a hole-in-one...
...or won some major tickets while playing games!!

Back at Mom and Dad's house, we had a sweet little house warming party with Aunt Ruth...

...who is absolutely precious!!
And, of course before you know it...the weekend wraps itself into a great big memory...
...and sends my family back home to KY...

i want to go play mini golf .. and i think all family visits seem to short. i always want to stay longer or them to stay longer too.
