a renewable love

Brandan was craving some thrills at Great America - Chicago's Six Flags.  It had been quite a few years since we made the trip up to this crazy amusement park.  When we heard Chato could get us some tickets through his company, we took advantage and brought the extended family along for the "ride".  Oh Em GEE - What a blast!!
Along with Allison, Dario, Lissette, Gisselle, AND Scooby, we started and ended our day with smiles!
Whether it was waiting in those LONG lines or just hangin' out, it was THE MOST PERFECT day.  Really, the lines weren't that bad at all.  For a Sunday, there were not huge crowds like we expected!  I hypothesize that after all of those triple digit temps here in the city, most people were scared to hit the rides and stayed away.  With beautiful skies and only 80+ degrees - we had one awesome day of weather. Now, that didn't keep a few of us from getting a bit too much sun!!  Oh, Allison I hope you are feeling alright today!
Our goofy roller coaster antics were held to a new standard by screaming really loud just for fun.  I think I'm partially deaf today - thank you Lissette!!
My poor Aly.  She hates the first drop of ANY roller coaster, so we broke her in on the log run...

...can you see the stress?  And then her father's elation at posing in contorted faces for the camera?  She was all fine after this one scary reminder...and went on to pick and choose good rides and even better costumes from prizes won playing PLENTY of games.

I'm SO glad that the parks, these days, have so many photographers floating around taking odd pictures that you don't always catch.  We snagged some cool ones here and there even though I didn't take the Nikon.

What a TRIP!
---------
Aly, Allison and I snuck over to a henna spot and were silly enough to get some fake tattoos...
...such a goofball for my man.

I am so glad Brandan talked up into going back to fall in love with this place all over again.  Whether it was the rides, the games or the family...
...it was such a great way to spend a Sunday.
---------
We will be off on a grand adventure come Wednesday.
Next stop: PURA VIDA
