I can't believe these days are nearly a month behind us now; living in sweet memory. But it is a blast having the hard copy and presenting it as such. Probably my favorite picture from the trip was Brandan leaning against this tree with the rainbow protecting him from above.
Just before sunset, on the beach, I was able to catch the kids content in their hawaiian fare; the sand beneath their feet. Many, many times before heading off for this south Pacific trip, friends, family, and colleagues questioned if Brandan and Aly would be staying behind. I understand that everyone needs romance, but our true love lies in the family we have, the experiences that help us to grow, and the future we always dreamed of having in the past! We saved up every dollar so that we could all make the trip; but it is my intention to let these kiddos know just how LUCKY they really are. (On that note: Chato and I are going to become travelling fiends once that empty nest syndrome kicks in! - only about 10-12 years more to go)
On our first full day, we headed over to the less crowded lagoon, where Chato and Brandan found itty, bitty fishies swimming about. Brandan's enthusiasm was so cool to catch! (NOTE: this is Kraft Girl Kit - January)
So, I am up about 12 pages in this album, and I have to note that I have only made it through the first two days of the trip. Days three through seven are gonna be a trip in itself! Enjoy!
