pyromaniacs on a rainy 4th

On record - it had to be one of the coolest Fourth of July holidays that we have ever celebrated. Drizzling rain and 68 degree temps made it a bit dismal. But we pulled out the grill and cooked up some hamburgers and hotdogs and all the rest. The rain couldn't keep the kids from pulling out the sparklers and morning glories. Determined to catch something on fire and watch it smoke was their goal.
The smoke seemed to linger in the heavy air, just a bit longer than usual, but the "legal" fireworks; the smoke bombs, bottle rockets, and racket makers were gone before you knew it.
We spent the rest of the evening watching the world around us...

(Cristian and Lalo)...and the cool colors of the night.
