I was honored with the distinct pleasure of opening up my most cherished blog to find I had reached a milestone. When I began this blog initially, I was hesitant to type up anything. I walked away from it only to return a few months later with some edging from a few scrappy friends. Today, I can't imagine going through life without it. It is my journal; my diary that I loved to keep when I was a child. Now, granted - there is no lock and key, but I am content to share it with family and friends, who are stretched out from one side of this continent to another, not to mention the beautiful ones from Papau New Guinea to Istanbul, from Canada to Chile. It is a pleasure. It is our story. It is my heart.
I can't stress it enough, but my friends and family know me well...I push YOU to start one, keep one, build one over time...YOU will not regret it. I have the ability to flip the pages and remember the moments that were important for one certain day. It is true that I can do this with my scrapbooks, too, but this blog allows me to record it just in case it never makes it to a layout. A few minutes, once or twice a week (my goal anyway), is all it takes to highlight our daily grind and all together good times. It is, also, true that you won't find the down-trodden, undeniable, negative events here. Those I release to the sky like paper kites blown by the wind - no need to maintain. So, even it is simple thoughts on remodeling your room or talking about how you are keeping up with your New Year's resolution or just posting a photo log - I encourage you to go to blogger and start one up.
For those of you, who continue to return, time and time again - I thank you for taking our stories into your heart each time you visit. I love reading your comments or seeing that you have "stopped by". Even if we don't talk everyday by phone or have time for a afternoon lunch out - I know that you know we are well and taking life one day at a time.
