super bowl pizzas and some snowfall

Take seven hungry kids on Super Bowl Sunday into the kitchen and tell them to make themselves something to eat. Never in your imagination could you foresee the cooperation put forth from this wonderful gang of friends. All crowded around the counter-top, they rolled out the dough, spread out the sauce, put all hands into the shredded mozzarella cheese, and added an even layer of pepperoni to top off a perfect kid friendly meal.
Perfection!
Now, if I had only thought to grab the camera as they were chowing down...but it went to fast. They gobbled it all up faster than it was served.

So, tonight, as the snow falls all over the city, I am dreaming of some scrap time, but bogged down with plenty of papers to grade this evening. Last Friday I had a successful weekend note where I was able to scrap up a few more lift pages for my HC critique group anniversary challenge. This one of our favorite friends, Familia Rangel, is my favorite, because of all of the bright, layered colors. It was my take off of my girl Jakki's: Kailee-isms LO
This one, taken the same day, is another BIG favorite. I scraplifted this from my sweet Brigid's LO: Scrapfest - I adore the clean lines with the big popping flowers, the reason why I chose this LO to lift in the first place! It was my total intention to make my own flowers, but these grabbed my attention first.
On an odd note, I have been wanting to use this goofy picture of Aly for a while. Always stuck to a screen...the tv, the computer, the Wii...she seems so hypnotized! But it is that late seventies photography glow that makes me love this girl's copper tone colored hair! This, too, was a lift from Sarah's LO: You & Me, which I just fell in love with its clean direction and focus!...and it is here where I steal the quote: "Not all who wander are lost"...
because I love to wander amongst the everyday places at a slow and even pace - not a hustle and bustle kind of girl lately.

Bring on HUMP day.
