loved

I am beginning to get my holidays mixed up. On days like today, I gather a sense of gratitude, instead of the traditional, over powering jolt of love - where I give thanks, rather than valentines to those I love. Maybe it is more about the collection of glances and expressions that I have amassed these past few years that leads me to believe I have more than enough love granted to me; I need not just ONE day full of hearts to understand it all. I am beginning to become more reflective on the everyday moments, not the prepackaged chocolates. Blessings do not come wrapped in brown, crinkled paper - they are my son wearing his glasses without being reminded, my daughter asking for kisses at odd moments throughout a typical day, my husband sitting at our desk while I scrapbook five feet away, my parents showing up on my doorstep in a few minutes notice; all the things no one should take for granted. It is then, that my heart fills up and no longer contemplates that it is LOVED.

Happy Valentine's, everyone!!

I am with ya girl!!! I am meaning to do a page on this with the same sentiment! It is fun for the kids to do valentines stuff, but those everyday little moments are way more meaningful then the prepackaged stuff!
