It's been quite some time since we had one. When I was little it was an "every Sunday" kind of event. It used to be an all out family gathering - after church, lots of Brown's chicken, and plenty of time for naps!
We decided to round up some family and order up some Browns!
Lucas worked hard at feeding his Momma, but I couldn't catch him doing it! Crystal's little boy is growing so fast!!

There's nothing like crispy chicken, and we added some kid-made "spring-colored" cupcakes for dessert.
So, the kids got into entertaining Lucas. There were plenty of cars and trains that Brandan pulled out of his collection, but their antics were my favorite. They have been at this one for awhile, but this was the first time I got to capture it...
For them to be two years apart, and Brandan the elder, you would never guess that it is within Aly's power to catch him in mid air and cradle him in her arms! They are nearly the same height, and Aly's got a couple pounds on her high metabolism brother, but her sturdiness can catch him every single time. Brandan wishes he could say the same!--------------------------------
The rest of their time together was spent playing with Brandan's old Thomas the train set. Lucas is a huge fan. I love their intense focus as they worked together...

It was nice to have a Brown's Chicken Sunday...now if I could only get MORE family to join us a little more often...from so far away.
