I think the pictures tell the stories of thousands of teachers throughout CPS, the state of Illinois, and across the nation...

...and I was glad to be a part of it with these fine teachers. I think the one thing that pulled my heartstrings EVEN more than marching along side teachers who have put in countless hours in the classroom was the fact that the signs were hand made - just like any hardworking teacher would make them - with the tools they use everyday: tape, poster board, yarn, and yard sticks!!
On May 26, make sure your voice is heard. Call 866-608-6355 and ask your members of Congress to take action and protect public education!

YAY!!! KUDOS TO MY CPS COLLEAGUES!
That is just terrible-were there parents protesting too? I would be if there going to be that many kids in my child's class. Ugh. Good for you for going out and supporting what you believe in!
