Do you see that smile on my Momma's face? The work has begun on digging out the back of the house and the new basement is taking shape. This is what it's all about...my parents are content as little bumblebees in a honey hive.
It's one thing to "see" what's being done. It's another thing to SEE the depth of this project!
The machinery is amazing. The kids' jaws (as well as our own) dropped seeing these massive things.
The mounds and mounds of earth are piled higher than the garage, creating an enormous kid-sized mountain.
By the end, there were two dirty kids...
...and lots of dreams of the things still to come.------------------------
So, with that said, we will go back to our impending trip, and SEE YOU IN ST. LOUIS!!!

Awesome. The kids look like they had a blast...and really do we ever get too old to play in dirt, lol!!
