the most wonderful...

...time of the year is NOW!! I know, i know...there are some people who say summer is best, or that they prefer rainy spring days, or those that choose autumn's fall colors --- but I am most in love with just about every season that is CURRENT -- and right now it is OUR Chicago winters! With the holiday break at it's midpoint and plenty of powder on the ground, the best thing in the world is to gather up some kids and let 'em start slipping and sliding ANY which way they can!! We hit the slopes at Summit Park and enjoyed less crowds and plenty of room. Reader beware: SNOW heavy pictures to follow...

(from the left...Aly, Xavi, Brandan, Cristian, & Bianca)
Yes...I hit the slopes too! What a blast! I wanna go AGAIN!!! Thank you, Margie - for taking our pics! And B...don't think this is an everyday opportunity...hee hee...Love you, spud.
This pic (above) is one of my favorites from the day. I loved how the trails in the snow were left behind each time. I caught Bianca and Aly coming back from a joint jaunt, and "saw" this story-telling picture. WDYT?
--------------------------
The kids decided to make a train of sledders..........such smart snowflakes aren't they?
------
The mommies also had a race. I somehow got turned around sideways and backwards...
...and that would be ME coming in last. :(

hee hee...better luck next time, huh?
THEY say that the temps are rising and we will see rain by the end of the week. Good-bye White Christmas. I am glad we got to enjoy you. I'm off to finally dip into my scraps and got word that I WON a Studio Calico Documentary kit!!! Woo Hoo! My kind of day!!

Oh yeah, I like Shel's idea-maybe make it a 2 pager with that one blown up as a 12x12 for one side.
