it's only been eighteen years or so......but Chato and I figured we would take up the invitation to visit our old high school.
Vintage treasures were lined up and made me crave the ability to pull out my old trunk full of memorabilia ( B&W newspaper prints, love letters, letter jacket) just to see them again. I love that stuff. I can't believe life moves on so fast and those things get stuffed into a box and pushed into the attic. I'll have to find time to pull it out one day soon.

Whereas I have been out of the building for a long time and marveled at the new lockers, Chato spent a few months teaching Math to freshmen and sophomores in 2005 to fill in for a teacher on a maternity leave. Alongside teachers who had taught him Math, he fell in love with education. (Crazy nut!) This was the room he spent his time in - dolling out algebra and geometry facts and lessons.
I will say that it nice to actually have the time to look at the wall of recognition that has grown since I'd seen it last.
It was sweet to see decorated lockers for birthdays and I smiled at the notes I found hanging out of lockers. The written word has not gone the wayside with the abundance of phones and text messages - and this made me happy.

How fun!!! During Thanksgiving break, we drove around an showed Aislynn the pizza place we met at and Shaun showed her the house he lived at when he was little. I think it is so fun to do those things!! So cool that you and Chato are high school sweethearts too:)
