Brandan, out of the blue, suggested that he should get a haircut on Saturday morning. With cousin, Taylor in town visiting from NOLA, the two boys decided to go around the corner to the local barber shop and trim it up. Or so they said...
Now, Brandan has gone on this expedition before. Never in my wildest dream did I expect these guys to come home with crew cuts!!! OMG! What was Brandan thinking? And taking Taylor along for the ride? Oh. My. Gosh. Everyone let their jaw hit the floor. Now if I had told Brandan to cut his hair like this he would have fought me on it, but gee whiz...this is too much!!
I'm thinking we are going to have to get used to those ears sticking out like that for awhile, and for some reason his freckles are that much more apparent! Don't you think?
Brandan didn't seem to mind, but I think it was a shock to Taylor's system. Brandan supported his cousin by making it "National HAT wearing day!" I do believe they both had fun with it later in the day, though...trying to find new and easy ways to "comb" it and rub their hands across it. By the time they get used to it, it will be grown out before you know it. Just wish it wasn't so winter-y outside when they chose to do it! Brrrr.....
Well, it will definitely be ONE Chicago trip to remember, huh?

On a separate note: I attempted a French Toast casserole for breakfast that Saturday morning before the "drama"! I thought it was a great easy way to cook up a big batch and half the work! See the recipe here: OVERNIGHT FRENCH TOAST

I've made a similar casserole before, and it turned out great. It's a good meal for a large crowd!
Cannot believe B did that! Woah! The important thing is that it is only hair and will grow back quickly!

The casserole looks so tasty, that is a great idea for a Christmas morning breakfast! WOW on the hair...it kinda makes him look older, don't you think?
