When there is nothing better in the world to do, you dig into the corners and find something interesting to play with...Brandan and his buddy found my spare bag of mardi gras beads that Tammy gifted me with for my classroom. (I was able to lug most of them to school already; this one must have gotten left behind in the garage!) Anywho...they had fun piling them all on for a while.
He has got this down to a science.
I think I cut up a watermelon a million different ways - and never thing twice about how i did it the time before. Chato always cuts it the SAME EXACT WAY each time he does it. Whack off an inch thick slice, ring out the center, and cut up the insides into triangular pieces. He's so OCD!

I am like you with cutting up watermelon...I do have a system for canteloupe that I saw in a magazine and it is so much easier then how I was cutting it before.
and WOW! that is a gigantic watermelon;)
