After nearly (or literally) passing out after a day spent purchasing school supplies for the impending date, we realized that mid-august is NO fun. Hours seem to slip by more rapidly for whatever reason. The whole FREEDOM vacation wraps itself into a ball and goes into hibernation.

After nearly (or literally) passing out after a day spent purchasing school supplies for the impending date, we realized that mid-august is NO fun. Hours seem to slip by more rapidly for whatever reason. The whole FREEDOM vacation wraps itself into a ball and goes into hibernation.
As this week began, I got my head back in gear and headed downtown to a workshop. There's nothing better than watching the hustle of the city at 7am. I had the opportunity to walk over from the train station with a DD bagel and coffee, sit next to Marilyn, watch the morning news on the plaza LIVE, and eat breakfast.

Since we were already downtown for the workshop, we went out for dinner for Tricy's birthday...
At Grand Lux Cafe, the food is good, the desserts are divine! I've never taste such goodness/flavors at one time!! 
...a nice evening!

A few more tricks in our bag, a few more things to check off before I commit to ringing in the new school year. But hanging with my girls? A BIG PLUS!

So when do you guys go back? I love the picture of A sleeping, ha ha!
And I totally agree...the weeks before school starting seem to go by at warp speed.
