There are Elvi(s) everywhere!

One of my favorite Chicago 5k races to attend is the Elvis is Alive 5k. Our very first one was waaaay back in 2003 when Chato was training for the marathon. It wasn't as exuberant waaaaay back then. Today, the hoop-la and festivities were hilarious. We were surrounded by look-a-likes and wanna-be Elvi. And every one of them wanted their pictures taken...

The guy in the left of this shot cracked me up. He applied scotch tape to his sideburns to hold them in place. Unfortunately, the heat led to sweat and flapping facial hair is SO funny to see. Ha hahaahaaha!

We met up with our good buddy, Josh, who is also in training for some BIG runs. He's off to the half-marathon in September and we are SO proud of him!

So, as we headed out for the race this evening, I posted a picture of MY Elvis on Facebook. I asked the question "Who can guess where we are going?" and BOY did I get some funny responses...

I was cracking up the WHOLE time as people continued to guess!

It was So much fun to be a part of this race, everyone has such COOL spirit! Makes me wanna take a trip to Graceland...

Once the race started and the Elvi set off to run their 3.1 miles......the sun shone down on my boy...

...it was a perfect night for it!

Tired to say the least, but another good run into the books!!B did receive a cool baby blue tee that his sister aptly lifted......SO much fun.We LOVE summer.
