Once upon a time...

...in my life, I could never have imagined that I would enjoy the outstanding blessings of friendship; friendships so beautiful that my heart protects them as family. I am so fortunate that I have the precious opportunity to call out and my friends gather around.

Such was the evening I enjoyed last night, with almost all of those who are dear to me.

At first, the evening was to celebrate "34", as another year has snuck up on me, but my heart felt that it was more of a celebration of change. This year, like no other, will bring about strange new paths for many of us that gathered together last night to dine on fine food and sit back an relax. Most of us have worked together for years, passing each other daily -whether on the phone or down the hallway. The year ahead may place us in different buildings, miles apart, or a text message away, but this evening reassured me that we will come together to celebrate life no matter which way our paths lead.
