We have been busy this week...

What a WEEK:
As you can see, early on in the week we went for a stroll in the back of the woods. It has been years since I had been to the Little Red School House out in the forest preserves. Used to be out there ALL the time, biking beside my runner boy. They have made some changes recently; there is a new and improved "house" aptly named the Little Green School House. It is a really cool facility - the kids enjoyed exploring it. The trails were the perfect combination of shade and sun. Momma and Papa are the expert walkers these days, but leave it to Brandan to find the off the beaten path PATH.
We went in search of a SPLASH park to cool off from the 90+ degree temps we have had this week. The Guerreros are awesome splash park friends. Put that together with a scoop of ice cream/frozen yogurt and it's a pretty nice way to wrap up a HOT, summer day!
When we hit the beach with the Wilson girls, the heat was just right for the lake's icy temperatures, being buried in the sand, and having fun with our favorite cousins! Next to the water, it wasn't easy to feel the 90+ degrees that the thermometer reported, but after grabbing an Italian ice from Mario's and heading home -- we realized just how much sun we GOT! (Some of us more than others, right, Jess?) Nice week, no doubt.
As we head into the weekend, the heat persists, and we have plans on Block parties/birthday celebrations...but I am still stuck in P&S mode. I received my updated battery charger, but it looks like those good old mexican electrical outlets blew the battery, itself! I am waiting on delivery of that now. As much as I adore the size of my simple P&S, I am realizing that my ISO is way out of line, the delay between pics is killing me, and about every tenth picture MIGHT turn out to be a good one...blech! SO cross your fingers that my battery shows up TODAY!

Despite those issues, your p&s is taking very nice pics!
Super fun beach pics and I agree with Shel-your p&s pics are nice! But I feel you on the delay of the click, grrr...
